FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CARER TICKET INFORMATION

If you would like to purchase carer tickets then you will need to book a ticket for the person requiring a carer and then email us at events@chorley.gov.uk with evidence that they require a carer along with the booking reference of the ticket. We will then be able to process the ticket and place a carer ticket on your account.

Please see below the evidence we accept:

  • The front page of DLA letter with PIP letter
  • The front page of Attendance Allowance letter
  • The front page of a Carers Allowance letter
  • The front page of a War pensioners’ Mobility Allowance letter
  • Evidence of being registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
  • Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
  • Valid Access Card showing you require a +1 to accompany you
  • Confirmation from social services or GP that you have a long term disability (including learning) and require a full time carer

If you require blue badge parking this will be done on a first come first serve basis. If our disabled parking is full then you will need to use our additional parking we have available

WILL THE PARK BE OPEN DURING THE SET UP OF THE CHORLEY FLOWER SHOW?

During the show set up from 15 July – 3 August, access to some areas of Astley Park will be restricted including the area in front of Astley Hall and the area of the park on the opposite side of the lake to Astley Hall. A map showing Astley Park including the closed area marked in red is included below.

You can still access Astley Hall and Coach House including Café Ambio and Barrica Wines throughout, please follow the signs on site.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED AT THE SHOW?

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at the show and this year we have a special Pup-Up Café. No dogs will be allowed in marquees at busy times (except assistance dogs). If you want to exercise your dog you can exit the show area and return if you are wearing your wristband.

WHERE CAN I COLLECT AN AMATEUR SECTION SCHEDULE?
DOES ENTERING THE AMATEUR SECTION GET YOU FREE ENTRY?

Yes. If you enter three separate classes in the show you will receive 1 free wristband.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME IF I BOOK A CARER TICKET?

Entry is valid whilst caring for a full paying adult.

One document from the following will be required when redeeming your carer ticket:
– Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
– Severe Disablement Allowance
– War Pensioner’s Mobility Allowance
– Blind or Partially Sighted Registration Certification
– War or Service Disablement Pension
– Attendance Allowance
– Carers Allowance
– Disability Living Allowance
– Letter of confirmation from a GP or Social Services that the person requires a carer

WILL FOOD AND DRINK BE AVAILABLE AT THE SHOW?

Yes. There will be a great selection of food and drink available to be purchased on the show site.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS ON THE GATE?

Yes, you can pay for final release tickets on the gates using card or cash.

It is cheaper to buy in advance and online.

DO CHILDREN NEED A TICKET TO VISIT THE SHOW?

Children aged 15 and under do not require a ticket, proof of age may be required. They must be accompanied by an adult 21+.

IF I BUY A TICKET ONLINE WHEN DO I GET MY WRISTBAND?

When you visit the show you can redeem your wristband from the ticket booths by showing your online ticket.

WHAT ARE THE GROUND CONDITIONS LIKE?

Chorley Flower Show is held in Astley Park so is subject to changing ground and weather conditions.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear when attending the show. 

CAN I USE MY TIME CREDITS TO PURCHASE FLOWER SHOW TICKETS?

Yes, details are on our ticket page and these must be purchased before Friday 12 July at 5pm.
