This section of the show continues to go from strength to strength and is a popular attraction with our show visitors. There are prizes in each of the classes and this year we’ve got new classes and our dedicated begonia section is back too.

CHILDREN’S DESIGN A GARDEN COMPETITION

 

Imagine your garden design brought to life this summer at Chorley Flower Show!

 

Last year, our competition winner Oliver, aged 9, submitted an incredible design which was transformed by our team of expert designers into a show garden. This year it could be your design.

 

The winning entrant and their family will also win complimentary entry to the show as well as £100 of gardening vouchers for their school!

 

Children aged between 5 and 11 can enter the competition. Download the entry form.

Photography Competition

Share your photography with thousands in the Chorley Flower Show Photography Competition. With five categories to enter, the winners will be chosen by the attendees of the flower show. Winners will receive a complimentary wristband for the 2025 show where the winning photos will be displayed, the winner of the young person’s category will win a prize.

For photographs that make the best use of the light around sunrise and sunset.

Garden Gnomes and Friends – Young Photographer Category for entrants aged 16 and under

Create whimsical scenes with garden gnomes, stuffed animals or toys interacting with the garden.

 

Criteria:

Must be a high quality digital image

JPEG format

Must be minimally modified (we are seeking natural photographs. Subtle sharpening and colour balance will be regarded as normal digital processes.)

Entries should be submitted, with the following information: photographer name, contact details, name of the photograph and location of where the photo was taken to events@chorley.gov.uk via WeTransfer.

Please send the photographers age if they are entering the young photographer category.

Entries must be received midnight on Sunday 21 June.
