BY CAR

We are situated just minutes from the M6 (for postcodes of where to park see below and follow event signage), M61 and M65 motorways.

BY BUS

The 119 service links Chorley and Preston and calls at Chancery Road, in Astley Village, which is the Hallgate entrance to the show. It also picks up and drops off close to the Woodlands car park.

BY TRAIN

A park and ride bus will be running and will stop across the road from Chorley train station’. The showground is a 20-25-minute walk from Euxton Balshaw Lane station, which is on the Preston-Liverpool line.

PARKING

There will be plenty of free car parks dedicated for the flower show, which are:

•  Westway playing fields – This car park is closed on Sunday.

 

•  Woodlands/Ackhurst Car Park – the college on Southport Road will be open for parking and you can access the show by foot at the Ackhurst Lodge entrance to the park. Alternatively, a park and ride bus will pick up at this car park. Satnav postcode – PR7 1QR

 

•  Town centre – there are several car parks in the town centre allowing you to access the show by foot from the Park Road entrance to the park. They are free after 1pm on Saturday and all day Sunday (except Flat Iron, which has a max 2 hour stay)

A park and ride bus will pick up at the bus stop outside Booths (on Union Street)

Hallgate car park will be closed to the general public with blue badge parking only for the show. If this gets full we will have a drop-off point on Hallgate car park but the car will need to be parked on one of the other car parks. The drop-off point can be used by other people wanting to drop off at the show. Please do not park on residential roads in Astley Village. 

FREE PARK & RIDE

There are three buses offering a free park and ride service to Chorley Flower Show from 9am until 6pm on both Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July. The details are:

 

• Botany Bay – Easily accessible from junction 8 of the M61, please follow the Chorley Flower Show park and ride signs. As you enter Botany Bay, the car park immediately to your left will be open for parking. Please note this is a rough surface car park with unmarked spaces. The sat nav postcode is PR6 9AF and the park and ride bus will pick up and return close to the entrance to the car park.

 

• Runshaw College – Easily accessible from junction 28 (Leyland) of the M6, Runshaw College is located just off Euxton Lane and the sat nav postcode is PR7 6AQ. This car park is approximately five minutes’ drive away from the showground and the park and ride bus will be running every 15 minutes starting at 9.05am.

 

• Town centre – the town centre park and ride bus will pick up at the bus stop outside of Booths on Union Street and will be running every 20 minutes. It will stop at Woodlands College on Southport Road.

 

All park and ride buses are fully accessible and will drop and pick up from Chancery Road, which is a two-minute walk to the showground.
